Sandblast 2019 - Greenwich CT

It was a quintessential summer beach day at Tod’s Point Beach on Saturday, July 27 for the Sandblast 2019 – Sand Sculpture Festival!

Families headed to the beach armed with shovels, pails, yard + gardening tools, PLUS a hefty dose of imagination — and a full day of sand sculpting, castle building, and FUN commenced!

There was no specific theme for sand sculptures, and participants were encouraged to indulge their imaginations enjoying the experience of creating art in the sand.

All participants received a gift certificate to Meli-Melo of Greenwich — and a FREE beach bucket courtesy of the Greenwich Arts Council.

This year’s event also included live music, as well as professional artist and honorary sandcastle judge Joseph Dermody.
