Despite the downpour this past Saturday, the 37th annual Greenwich High School Jazz Festival proved to be a harmonious haven for jazz enthusiasts. Organized by the GHS music department under the direction of band director Jason Polis, the all-day event brought together talented young musicians and renowned jazz instructors for a day of learning, performing, and celebrating the world of jazz. The festival kicked off bright and early at 8:50 am with a rousing performance by the Greenwich High School Jazz Ensemble, setting the tone for a day filled with captivating music. Throughout the day, ten visiting high school bands from across the region, including some traveling all the way from Canada, took the stage to showcase their impressive skills.
