CONGRATULATIONS: Former Greenwich High School Football Player Signs NFL Undrafted Free Agent Deal With The Chicago Bears

#LocalPride! Have you heard the news? Scooter Harrington, an accomplished tight end from Stanford University (and, formerly of Greenwich High School) has signed as an undrafted free agent with the Chicago Bears!

On an Instagram post of the announcement, Harrington noted he is, “Excited for this opportunity and excited to get to work!”



Harrington played at Greenwich High School under head coach John Marinelli. Some of his Greenwich-era bio highlights include being a Four-star recruit by ESPN; the nation's 10th-best Y-tight end by ESPN; 17th-best tight end by 247Sports; Connecticut's top recruit by ESPN and PrepStar, second by 247Sports, third by Scout, fifth by Rivals; 24 receptions for 240 yards and two touchdowns as a senior; 4.5 sacks, seven pass breakups, one interception and two forced fumbles as a senior2016 Under Armour All-America; Two-time all-state first team; Two-time all-league first team; 2015 Hearst Connecticut Media Super 33; Two-time USA Today all-state; Team captain as a senior; a National Football Foundation National High School Scholar-Athlete; and a and National Honor Society member.
