The Cedar School is a new co-ed day high school designed for bright students with mild-to-moderate language-based learning differences, such as Dyslexia. We offer a college-prep program for students, grades 9-12, in Fairfield County, Westchester County, and the New York area.

The Cedar School empowers students through differentiated instruction, a multisensory approach for learning, executive functioning strategies, an integrated arts program, a two-week annual internship for all grades, and a well-rounded athletics program.

Our mission at The Cedar School is to foster strong self-advocacy skills and give students the tools to navigate college and life with independence and confidence.

The school will:

• Focus on individual student learning strengths
• Utilized intensive, research-based instructional support for learning needs, such as Orton-Gillingham, and other programs
• Provide appropriate accommodations and adaptations to allow all students to access a rigorous curriculum of high academic standards
• Ensure highly individualized and personalized instruction through small class sizes and carefully designed individual learning plans
• Employ exceptionally skilled and qualified educators with appropriate certifications
