The Preschool at Second Congregational is an independent non-sectarian preschool for children ages 2 through 5 centrally located on 5 acres in Greenwich, Connecticut.
The Preschool’s mission is to provide a warm and creative atmosphere to foster young children’s social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth through a child-centered curriculum. We believe children learn best in an environment which emphasizes creative expression, and curriculum that is attuned to the individual child’s unique pattern of development. Preschool is a time for children to begin a journey of lifelong learning with excitement, wonder, and curiosity. Our goal is to begin them on that journey.

SCHEDULE A CAMPUS VISIT:
The Preschool at Second Congregational
We understand that choosing a preschool is an important decision for parents. We are here to assist each family in making a well informed decision for their child. With over 20 years of early childhood experience, our director and staff pride themselves on providing a unique learning experience for your child.
The best way to get to know our school is to schedule a tour of our beautiful campus. Once a family makes an initial inquiry to our admissions office, we will arrange for a tour of our campus and classrooms. During your visit you will have a chance to observe classroom activities and have ample time to ask any questions you might have. We will discuss typical day schedules, philosophy, curriculum and general school policies.
We look forward to meeting you!
Our scenic 5 acre campus is conveniently located in central Greenwich, approximately 28 miles from New York City.
The campus encompasses three independent playgrounds, along with many areas to walk and explore our natural surroundings.
In addition to our spacious outdoor facilities, with ample parking and easy access pick-up and drop-off lines, our school building offers numerous classroom environments for our students.
Children enjoy large and light-filled ground floor classrooms. In addition to their regular classrooms, we have several resource rooms for scheduled special activities throughout the day. Our large multi-purpose room, with a climbing wall, is utilized for music and dance classes, our enrichment programs, as well as on inclement weather days for many games and activities.
Our fully cataloged library provides teachers and students classic children’s books, and themed seasonal books, to supplement our classroom storytime areas.
We would love to welcome you to visit our campus and show you around!
Twos
Our Twos program is the first step in your child discovering the world outside of home and family. With nurturing staff and child-centered classrooms, our program is designed to meet the developmental needs of two year old children in the context of a community of peers. Small successes are recognized, celebrated and built upon as we work together to engage your child’s love of learning.

Students bring a packed lunch to school on their enrichment/extended day, and participate in the special program available for that school day. Topics for enrichment in the past have included block building, cooking,
science/nature, cooperative games, and drama/theater. This is a very popular program with bi-annual sign-up in September and January for participation by semester.
