Nature Immersion Experiences

Address: 151 Brookdale Road, Stamford, CT, 06903

Phone: (203) 883-4035

The Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens camp programs offer immersion into the natural world through the exploration of the Arboretum’s 93 acres of forest and gardens.

We offer eight weeks of hands-on experiences for campers entering kindergarten through entering 5th grade.

Each week has its own unique theme that incorporates STEAM concepts (science, technology, engineering, art and math) in age-appropriate contexts. We make nature inviting and engaging for all!

In addition to week-specific programming, each camp segment allows time for games and relaxation appropriate to the age level. Our aim is to make nature inviting and engagement fun. In inclement or extremely hot weather, we will continue our nature exploration in the air-conditioned environment of the Silver Educational Center.

Programs will run from June 22 - August 14, 2020.

2020 Nature Immersion Experiences

Our complete nature immersion experiences for youth will run from June 22 - August 16, 2020. Discover a new theme each week, which is tied to the plants and animals that live at the Arboretum.

We’ll roam the Bartlett’s grounds from swamp to forest to greenhouse. Along the way we will create art, complete hands-on investigations indoors and out, have lots of time to play, and enjoy nature together!

About Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens

The Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens is one of Fairfield County’s leading botanical and horticultural education resources featuring 93 acres of open, green space located on the historical property of well-known arborist Dr. Francis A. Bartlett.

As a regional resource for science education and a nationally recognized Arboretum, the Bartlett is perfectly positioned to provide students with a unique experience of complete immersion into nature science. We currently offer several core programs to the youth of the community including school programs, after school programs, outreach programs and a summer camp. The Nature Explore Classroom, an outdoor classroom, answers the profound need for connecting young children with nature.
