The Cottage - Greenwich Ave

The restaurant scene in Greenwich has been heating up over the past few weeks – and with warmer weather not far off, we’re expecting lots of incredible local dining experiences over the coming spring and summer!

The latest announcement is that Chef/Owner Brian Lewis is very busy bringing The Cottage to 49 Greenwich Avenue just a little later this year!

This new 60+ seat restaurant and bar is an extension of Lewis’ original location in Westport which opened to immediate acclaim approximately 6 years ago.

The Cottage will be a warm and welcoming restaurant by Chef Brian Lewis, which embraces the local community and is greatly influenced by the artisan farmers and growers in our region. Chef Brian’s creative take on American cooking will offer an exciting menu of hand-crafted dishes, inspired by techniques and cultures from various regions around the globe. Their food, wine and signature cocktails will be paired with gracious hospitality in a warm and cozy setting. The restaurant will be deeply rooted in seasonality, focused on sourcing exceptional ingredients and creating a memorable experience for our guests.

What Can You Expect To Find On The Menu at The Cottage Greenwich? If the food photos The Cottage Greenwich has been teasing out on social media are any hint (and we’re pretty sure they are), prepare for some INCREDIBLE flavors and stunning presentations! Think along the lines of Wagyu Brisket Steam Buns (w/ napa kimchi – duck fat potato tempura); Duck Fried Rice (maitake – duck confit – bok choy – sunny quail eggs); Spicy Scallop Nigiri (crispy sushi rice – nori furikake); Spicy Squid & Broccoli (burnt garlic – red chili – chorizo aioli); Lobster Spaghetti (sea urchin butter – tomato – chili – garlic crumb); Chioggia Beet Salad (burrata – pistachio – pumpkin seeds); and more!

The Cottage Greenwich will feature a full beverage program with an international wine list, local craft beer, handcrafted (and seasonally inspired) cocktails, and creative low/no drinks.

Reports indicate that The Cottage Greenwich will initially be open Tue-Sun for dinner service, then they plan to expand hours — offering lunch, Sunday Brunch, and to-go options in the near future.
