Photo Gallery: Independence Day Fireworks 2019 - Binney Park, Greenwich

On Sunday, July 7th 2019, Greenwich-area residents congregated in Binney Park for the annual Independence Day fireworks display.

Pop-up thunderstorms that were predicted for Saturday the 6th prompted City Officials to reschedule this patriotic outdoor event to Sunday night. The date change resulted in a perfect summer evening for fireworks viewing.

Many residents arrived at Binney Park early in the morning to set up their chairs in their favorite spots and make a full day out of it!

Some of the spectators set up buffets for a crowd — and others packed picnics. There were flags; there was decor; there was live music; and there was an abundance of red, white, and blue clothes peppered across the park, visible until the the sun set and all eyes turned skyward for the impressive pyrotechnics display!
