October 26th was a night of gustatory greatness at the J House Greenwich as ticket-holders to the Greenwich Restaurant Week 2017 Opening Night Kickoff Extravaganza celebrated a full and exceedingly memorable evening of local culinary royalty, celebrated mixologists, and the taste-bud-tantalizing end-products of their considerable creative skills.
The first floor of the J House was transformed into a refined wonderland of local personalities, tasty tapas, light bites, and colorful, creative cocktails - all against a perfectly matched, mood-setting aural backdrop comprised of the sounds of DJ Kunjun Collective!
Who was on hand to represent the cuisine landscape of Greenwich? Back 40 Kitchen, Bella Nonna, Bistro Versailles, Char, Citarella, Gaucho Boteco Steakhouse (Stamford), Harvest, Little Pub, Mill Street Bar & Table, OG Social Club, Petite Treats, Table 104 (Stamford), The Spread (in South Norwalk - opening soon in Greenwich), and more!
We enjoyed visiting with our friend Chef Geoff Lazlo of Mill Street Bar & Table and hearing about a few of the many community-oriented initiatives his restaurant participates in PLUS their enticing Greenwich Restaurant Week Specials!
We also took delight in hearing from the talented team at The Spread in South Norwalk about their impending opening of a brand new The Spread location opening right here in Greenwich (at 18 W. Putnam Ave) sometime in mid-November (stay tuned to LG for more details)!
What else did we see? Well, we wouldn't be ourselves, if we didn't take a few photos of the Restaurant Week Opening Party festivities...have a look and see who you recognize!
