Greenwich Concours d'Elegance 2018

Exotic, eye-candy cars filled Roger Sherman Baldwin Park on June 2nd and 3rd, 2018 as the 23rd annual Greenwich Concours d’Elegance – one of the most prestigious classic car shows in the United States (alongside the other major concours events held in Hilton Head, Amelia Island and Pebble Beach) – brought out crowds of automobile enthusiasts from the surrounding areas (and far beyond).

The Greenwich Concours – which is the absolute largest in the Northeast – has the unique distinction of actually being TWO concours held back to back. The Concours Americana, for American cars and motorcycles, was held on Saturday – while Sunday was reserved for the Concours International featuring imported marques.

This year, there was a serious celebration of Briggs Cunningham at the Greenwich Concours d’Elegance featuring ‘the most comprehensive collection of Cunningham production cars and team race cars assembled at one time and place, ever, including at the factory’. As a special tribute, the Cunningham cars were displayed along the waterfront on both Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday also featured cars of John Fitch, competition motorcycles and a circle of supercars, both American and foreign.

On Sunday, notable Jaguars were on display, with a focus on the prewar SS Cars, prewar MGs, and competition motorcycles.

Throughout the event there were also displays of new cars surrounding the show field, including BMW, Cadillac, Lincoln, Tesla, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lexus, Acura, Karma, Genovation and Miller Motorcars – with Ferrari, Bugatti, Pagani, Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, McLaren, Bentley and Maserati.

It’s not often that such an exclusive, impressive, and varied selection of rare and coveted cars (and motorcycles) are displayed in one place – and this is exactly why the Greenwich Concours d’Elegance holds such a respected and enduring place in the hearts, minds, dreams and imaginations of car collectors from all over North America.
