Downtown Greenwich was a winter wonderland - without the snow - for the annual Greenwich Holiday Stroll Weekend on December 2nd and 3rd.
Chilly, but otherwise agreeable, weather set the seasonal stage as families from within (and around) Greenwich converged en masse along Greenwich Avenue and the surrounding neighborhood streets to celebrate the holiday season in a major way.
Over 100 participating merchants, restaurants, and businesses worked in tandem to deliver the level of Hallmark-Movie, small-town quaintness that draws people to this event in such a successful fashion year after year.
The scene was a simmering holiday potpourri of shopping, food, and family friendly activities. Even a short stroll along the Avenue provided a bountiful feast for all the senses with live music, horse-drawn carriage rides, ice sculpture demonstrations, a live nativity (complete with wild animals), and a wide variety of food trucks offering seasonally appropriate flavors.
Even better - downtown parking was free for the duration of the event due to the generous sponsorship donations of Barbara Zaccagnini Real Estate, Richards - A Mitchell Store, and Moffly Media.
Living Greenwich was working the crowd, as well - and we have a photo gallery to prove it :-)
