The Greenwich Point Conservancy picked a perfect night to hold their annual Beach Ball.The patrons of this sold-out event enjoyed fabulous food, drinks and sunlit and moonlit views of Long Island Sound. The Beach Ball is Greenwich Point Conservancy’s (GPC) largest fundraiser of the year. The goal of the GPC is to work with the Town of Greenwich to develop and implement plans for the restoration and preservation of the important historic structures at Greenwich Point.

Thursday on Greenwich Avenue, the summer sunshine was hot…but the deals being offered by local merchants for the the 2019 Greenwich Sidewalk Sale Days were even hotter! Color. Activity. And HUGE discounts in every direction! For those of you who may be new to the area, the Sidewalk Sales are an annual tradition organized by the Greenwich Chamber of Commerce – and the most highly anticipated shopping extravaganza of the year!

On Sunday, July 7th 2019, Greenwich-area residents congregated in Binney Park for the annual Independence Day fireworks display. Pop-up thunderstorms that were predicted for Saturday the 6th prompted City Officials to reschedule this patriotic outdoor event to Sunday night. The date change resulted in a perfect summer evening for fireworks viewing.

On Sunday, June 23rd Greenwich Point was visited by thousands of people interested in history, ecology, environmental stewardship, outdoor sports, and more as the Town of Greenwich Shellfish Commission presented their 13th Annual ‘Experience the Sound’ event. The theme of this year’s event was “From Streams Through Soil to Sea” — and emphasized that the local ecology in our own backyard is connected to the Sound, as a way to encourage the public to be good caretakers of the land and the Sound.
