Enjoy some Irish music -- Join Sean and Deidre Murtha on Saturday, March 16th (from 1-2pm) for an hour of traditional Irish folk music and dance in the Innis Arden Cottage at Greenwich Point.
The Murtha's accompany themselves on a variety of instruments including fiddle, bouzouki, guitar, keyboard, harmonica, tin whistle and bodhran. From lively rhythms and plaintive melodies to touching ballads and infectious sing-alongs, this is a program that is sure to please (and involve!) the whole family.
Presented by the Friends of Greenwich Point. The mission of the Friends of Greenwich Point is to act as an advocate for Greenwich Point. We are non-profit committed to responsible stewardship and public education to preserve and enhance Greenwich Point's diverse natural environments and beauty; to safe and appropriate recreation; and to the maintenance of its facilities. The Friends of Greenwich Point initiates and carries out projects related to the organization's mission, complementing the efforts and resources of the town. Some of these programs include Safe Roads, filling the bird feeders, picnic umbrellas, summer concerts, education programs, vegetation and habitat restoration and much more.
