Art Adventures - Comical Illustrations - Bruce Museum

March 24 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Come to the Bruce and get hands on with art. Drop in for free, hands-on family fun. Guests will get to learn and work with local comic illustrator Emily Curran, who will be teaching kids the basics of creating their own comic. From the tools they use, to setting up their story boards, kids will get to learn a little about comics and create their own. Every other Sunday families will be able to come and make art or complete exhibition related activities from 1-3PM. This activity is for children four and up as well as their caretakers.

Art Adventure is free with admission and does not require advanced registration.

Hi! I am a freelance Illustrator and Animator living in Connecticut. I graduated from Pratt Institute of Design with an Associate's Degree in Illustration and have since been enjoying a freelance career. I find the most enjoyment in narrative and editorial illustration, especially through comics and gouache painting. In 2018, my work has taken to animation and clay modeling, something to look out for on my website. My interests range from dark and haunting to light and colorful subjects.
