Welcome to the 2022 Living Greenwich Preschool Guide - Spring Edition; a local resource for Greenwich-area parents seeking in-depth information on some of the best local preschool and Pre-K programs available for their children.
Why Preschool? For many of our children, preschool represents their first experience in a structured setting with teachers and groups of other children. Preschool is the place where skill sets that will serve our children well into the rest of their lives begin to find their formal foundations. Learning to share. Following instructions. Social and emotional development. Language and cognitive skills. Developing curiosity. Pre-math and literacy skills. Motor skills. The list of benefits go on and on...
This is precisely why we're bringing the 2022 Living Greenwich Preschool Guide - Spring Edition to our community. We want to provide local parents with the information necessary to assist them in choosing from among the best Pre-K programs to suit their child (and family). We've striven to include programs where the young learners in our town will be well-cared for, enjoy an array of beneficial activities, make new friends, and build the knowledge, skills, and confidence to do well in kindergarten.
The Greenwich-area schools and programs that are a part of this guide look forward to meeting you and your children, offering tours of their facilities, and answering all of the questions you may have as you weigh the options searching for a perfect fit.
It's never too early to begin making Pre-K plans for your child! We encourage you to reach out and open conversations with the Preschools that interest you today!

Our curriculum is dynamic, based on the needs of the students and what is happening in the world around us. Every moment is a teaching moment at Babbling Brook and, while we focus on learning through play, we also see the importance of dedicated ELA and math instruction in fun and age-appropriate manners.

Christ Church Preschool is proud to offer a learning community that values children’s ideas, protects the playfulness of childhood, and engages families in their child’s early education.
Our large outdoor campus and spacious classrooms offer beautiful and engaging environments for meaningful play and learning. Classes spend large portions of the school day outdoors, spending time in interest areas such as our school garden, mud kitchen, fields, and playgrounds.
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy of education, our curriculum is based on a process of observation and reflection, where children play an active role as co-constructors of their own learning. As children become familiar with the school environment, the available materials and their peers, a shared context develops, stories begin to unfold, and a new curriculum emerges. Teachers encourage learning through thoughtfully planned experiences, and support questioning, collaboration and critical thinking as the children acquire new knowledge.
Our school is known for its warm, close-knit community. We recognize that the preschool years are as important for our parents as they are for the children. This is a time when parents begin to form genuine friendships that support their families and children for years to come. There are many opportunities for participation in and out of the classroom, as well as in large and small school events throughout the year.

German International School New York (GISNY) | A Pre-K through Grade 12, Independent, Bilingual School
Open a world of opportunities for your child with a distinctive bilingual education and a rigorous curriculum that emphasizes the sciences.
For over 40 years, German International School New York, an independent Pre-K through Grade 12 college preparatory program, has cultivated students to develop into curious, analytical, and conscientious global citizens.
Pre-K and Kindergarten children are welcomed into a bright, spacious, and nurturing environment, and with our Nature-Based Early Childhood Education Program our students enjoy most of their school day outdoors exploring, learning, and playing on our beautiful 20-acre campus.
Our Pre-K & Kindergarten programs incorporate the “One teacher – one language” approach. One teacher only speaks German, and the second teacher only speaks English to the children.
Entering Pre-K and Kindergarten children are not required to speak or understand German and build the foundation of being bilingual by first grade.
GISNY is the only school in the tristate area accredited to offer the NYS High School Diploma and the German International Abitur, a globally recognized diploma, which facilitates access to universities worldwide.
The latest addition to our campus is a brand-new, state-of-the-art Makerspace, which allows students of all grades to fully explore projects in the fields of design thinking, life sciences, and artificial intelligence.

King School sets a better standard for education and equips students with the insights and heart to chart their own course. We are a co-educational day school in Stamford, Connecticut, where students in PreK through Grade 12 learn and live with purpose.
Our academics set us ahead. Throughout their years at King, our students engage in student-driven inquiry and experiential learning. Our teaching methodology is guided by educational best practices and focused on strong relationships with faculty and mentors — creating a foundation for courageous thinking and impactful action. We embrace our students’ ideas and champion their successes. We open minds and encourage lifelong curiosity.
Our community sets us apart. Students and faculty come from 40 neighboring communities and 63 countries engage in an expansive curriculum that spurs conversation on culture, religion, ethnicity and lived experiences. We are empowered by our diverse talents and inspired by our different backgrounds and perspectives. Together, we celebrate every student’s uniqueness.
Our graduates set us above. They have done more than developed skills; they have become passionate learners and caring citizens. King School alumni land at the nation’s top colleges and advance in their careers confident and prepared. More importantly, they arrive courageous and ready to make an impact in their communities – and better prepared to better the world.
When young learners see education as a place to experiment, create, construct, and connect, they develop a more expansive mindset about what school can offer them. They experience education as a path of discovery, understanding, wonder, and joy. These ideas are grounded in the Reggio-Emilia inspired, project based philosophy practiced at King School. We encourage our PreKindergarten and Kindergarten learners to collaboratively explore intentionally created vibrant classroom spaces where children are actively engaged in the process of learning from the earliest ages.
Seek more than achievement for your child. Set them ahead at King. Learn how we open minds and spark courageous thinking.
