Living Greenwich Camps + Programs Showcase 2020
Dance classes don’t have to end just because it’s summer! Allegra has created a flexible summer for you and your child(ren) - ages 6 to 14!
Allegra Dance Greenwich offers a variety of ways to keep your dancer moving through the summer. We offer multiple levels of classes (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced) in a multitude of dance disciplines including Tap, Jazz, Modern, Musical Theater, Hip Hop, Acro and more! Join us for Summer 2020!
Allegra Dance Greenwich, located in Greenwich, Connecticut, is a school of ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, modern dance, contemporary, acro dance and hip hop dance.
Allegra provides the ideal dance education for all our students by adhering to the philosophy that dance is an art, not a competitive sport. Students with professional aspirations are able to make a seamless transition into the college and professional dance worlds. Students who dance for recreational purposes are able to do so in a positive, supportive, and non-competitive environment.
Allegra Dance Greenwich Summer Dance Camp offers the experience of trying new styles of dance and expanding on the styles your child(ren) has done before. This program is open to students 6 to 14 years with a trained dance instructor and an assistant per group. Children are divided into two groups by age and individually given the attention they need to grow on their level.
Children will participate in a ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, acro and musical theatre class, with an opportunity to perform in an informal showcase at the end of the fourth week. A theme will be chosen on the first day of camp that will be used to build the informal showcase. In addition to taking the many dance styles, children will have fun building new friendships and learn how to apply stage make-up and take Head Shots for a Playbill.
Flexible Scheduling: Enroll your child(ren) July 6-July 31st from 9:30-1:30pm and choose from a day, a week or four weeks. All classes will be held in two fully air conditioned studio spaces, located on West Putnam Avenue.
The Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens summer camp programs offer immersion into the natural world through the exploration of the Arboretum’s 93 acres of forest and gardens. Each week has its own unique theme, which is tied to the plants and animals that live at the Arboretum, and incorporates STEAM concepts (science, technology, engineering, art and math) in age-appropriate contexts. We’ll roam the Bartlett’s grounds from swamp to forest to greenhouse. Along the way we will create art, complete hands-on investigations indoors and out, have lots of time to play, and enjoy nature together! In inclement or extremely hot weather, we will continue our nature exploration in the air-conditioned environment of the Silver Educational Center.
Our programs run from June 22 - August 14, 2020 and are open to students entering Kindergarten through entering 5th Grade. Camp hours are Monday-Friday from 9AM – 3PM. Registration discounts are available for Bartlett Members and an Early Bird Discount is available if you sign up before February 24!

Camp Awosting is one of the oldest private boys camps in the US, in continuous operation since 1900. It’s a great first-time camp experience!
Life at Awosting is informal and friendly. This close-knit atmosphere allows us to focus on developing Awosting’s core values in our campers – brotherhood, independence, confidence and experience. Our primary focus is maintaining a safe and respectful environment that encourages both personal growth and creates an unforgettable summer experience.

Building the future one amazing summer at a time!
Camp Gan Israel has been providing a unique Jewish summer camp experience to our campers and families since 1997.
The relationships that our campers form with their counselors provide the foundation for the Camp Gan experience for which we are known. We focus on building confidence, building resilience and building friendships that will last a lifetime.
Camp Gan is located on the grounds of Carmel Academy, 270 Lake Avenue in Greenwich, CT. The camp features a beautiful 16 acre campus with grassy playing fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, gaga courts and shady picnic tables. We have an on-site outdoor swimming pool, monitored by trained and licensed aquatic professionals. Our indoor air-conditioned facilities include a gymnasium, art studio, activity rooms, multipurpose rooms, cafeteria and an auditorium.
Ages 2-14. Specialty sports, theater, tennis, coding camps plus so much more available.
Cardinal Soccer Camps LLC is owned and directed by Kurt Putnam (Greenwich United DOC and Greenwich HS Head Boys Coach) and Stuart Smith (Greenwich Soccer Association DOC, NYSC Girls Program Director and Sacred Heart Head Girls Coach) and was formed in 2005 to provide camps and coaching services to players in Lower Fairfield and Westchester Counties.
For Sixteen straight years our camps have increased in size. This increase in camp size allows us greater flexibility in grouping by both ability and age. If you’ve been to a camp when an 7 year old plays with an 11 year old, where girls and boys are mixed to simply make a group or age groups are canceled, then you’ll not find this at Cardinal Soccer.
Our coaches currently coach for Greenwich United, NYSC, Greenwich High School, Sacred Heart, GA, Fairfield University, GSA. This brings together a rich, versatile and deep understanding of the game of soccer shared by passionate coaches to provide the very best soccer camp experience in the tri-state.
The age, experience and commitment of our coaches to local soccer communities is what makes us different from other camps. Our World Cup tradition brings kids from all over the world to compete in skill based challenges to earn points to be the camp world champion.
Our Program Philosophy: Know what to do, Know when to do it, Know how to do it, but most of all, Do it Well.

Now is the perfect time to start planning summer fun for your children or visiting grandchildren. At the Greenwich Historical Society’s unique and highly interactive Art and History Camp, kids learn important skills while connecting to our town’s history and have fun.
History teaches vital skills. Historical thinking requires critical approaches to evidence and argument and develops contextual understanding and historical perspective, encouraging meaningful engagement with concepts like continuity, change, connection and the ability to interpret and communicate complex ideas clearly and coherently.
Early American Life Week
During Early American Life Week, campers will experience how early New England colonists lived, worked, and entertained themselves - combined with lively sessions where they will learn to weave, build colonial toys, and more!
Art Colony Week
During Art Colony Week, campers will be inspired by the beauty of Bush-Holley House and the surrounding landscape like many American Impressionist artists who visited the site. They will learn about the Cos Cob art colony, and the dynamics between art and history, as they search for visual clues in the artwork to learn about life at the turn of the century. Campers will use paint, palette and canvas to create their own Impressionist art!
*STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) activities are incorporated into both weeks.
For more than 40 years, the Summer Youth and Precollege Programs in the Arts at Purchase College have been much more than camps.
Summer students from grades 3-12 learn new skills in a rich environment full of new skills, new friends and achievements, growth and independence. They are immersed in a variety of exciting and enriching learning opportunities, such as songwriting, acting, architecture, visual arts, creative writing, filmmaking, video game and app creation, voice, and journalism programs.
